About the event
The book of Joshua gives us an Old Testament picture of a New Testament reality – how our Messiah rescues us from a life of bondage and slavery and brings us into the promised land of faith. Joshua is a forerunner for the New Testament Jesus, although obviously an imperfect one. It’s through the reminder of God’s faithfulness to the people of Israel and Joshua’s leadership that we have hope and confidence in Jesus as our deliverer in a life of faith. As believers, this book is a pattern of how to live by faith in the middle of our spiritual battles.
